Biolitec recently announced the launch of a new addition to its ELVeS Radial family—the ELVeS Radial 2ring Swift fibre. According to a company press release, both larger truncal veins and smaller side branches and perforating veins can be treated with up to 12 watts without having to change the fibre with this new product. This simplifies the procedure considerably, Biolitec claims.
The company details that the possibility of direct puncture using a 14GA cannula keeps the puncture site small, resulting in even better aesthetic results. It adds that a smaller size can also be used when using an ordinary introducer set: 5Fr is sufficient here and can replace 6Fr.
Biolitec notes that they will be present at the 22nd Annual Meeting of the European Venous Forum (EVF; 30 June–2 July, Venice, Italy) at booth #15 to introduce its new fibre.
